RL update with pic (mom- cancer)

Hiya ;)

It’s definitely been a long week! Mom was finally released from the hospital on Sat. She no longer had the fever, but still fighting a slight infection. They wanted her to stay, but she basically refused. Tomorrow early morning she'll see the oncologist to discuss her #s, and if or when she'd going to continue radiation/chemo. She lost large chunks of hair that once she was home and we found the razor she had me shave her head. I buzzed it off and dad later went over her scalp with a straight razor. Since she's been home she beyond tired and has done nothing but sleep whenever she can – the coughing keeping her up through the night.

Friday I cut my hair in prep to have it buzzed. Ironically I had planned to go bald for my fiftieth I'm just doing it a pinch early- well I'm not bald mom talked me out of that, but I did go with really short buzz cut for moral support. It's slightly weird especially after having long hair for the last 2-3 years *shrugs*

Anyhoo, I’m hanging in. This week between work and the hospital I haven’t done anything fandomwise - just no time.

Also I’m still in shock about Bella and if I’d allow myself to stop and think I’ll go through a box or two of Kleenex. It’s just so sad, I can only send out prayers & love to her family and friends – she will be greatly missed!
